Of course we’d love to design your artwork but if you’re comfortable with creating it yourself please take a look at our pointers below to ensure your artwork prints correctly.

Preparing Files for Spot UV

Print Ready PDF’s
Our pre-press department work from high resolution PDF’s. This is a common file format that can be produced from various programmes such as Indesign, Quark and even Microsoft Word.

Necessary PDF Settings
Our checklist will help you create Print Ready PDF’s

•  Add 3mm bleed
•  Add crop marks
•  Keep all important text at least 4mm from the edges
•  Ensure the pdf is High Resolution (minimum 300dpi)
•  Embed all fonts
•  Ensure artwork is CMYK
•  Ensure artwork is correct size.

Unfortunately, we don't accept Publisher, Excel or Corel Draw files as valid artwork, but you may export as high-res font embedded PDFs from these programmes, alternatively you could use an online pdf converter such as this one.

If you still aren’t 100% confident, speak to us either about producing your design. If you are 100% confident your artwork meets the above criteria, we’ll ask you to confirm that’s the case as we cannot be held liable for any errors in print where the above criteria is not met.
